Hello all,
I can't believe I only have five weeks left in Japan! It seems like time is flying by at breakneck pace, and my return date is looming ever closer. Bittersweet much? Honestly, if it weren't for graduation, friends, family, and responsibilities, I would love to stay for another semester, but, as it is, I have way too many things I miss/need to take care of back at home. As the old saying goes, life moves on...

Well, I have some news for you. Upon completion of my study abroad in Japan, Life, Love, and Lattes will also "move on." Don't worry now, this isn't forever, just until more travel adventures happen to come my way. In the mean time, I have been working on starting my new blog, in the works! I plan on making this one slightly different than LL&L. I want it more to focus on normal life back in Washington, and to include topics like: activism, volunteerism, job hunting (do's, don'ts, and personal successes/failures), and maybe daily life.

My aim is to mostly gear in the works towards the friends I've made in Japan, but also to branch out to a new audience of Western students, community members, and social activists, all of whom I would love to make personal and professional connections with. Honestly, creating this new blog is making me feel a little bit recharged, and even though I will be returning to normal life, this anticipation for new adventures, cultivating old friendships and relationships, and never ending personal growth, is making my skin tingle with excitement. I want to live, and I want to write about it...

As for right now, I won't be updating itw too much, once in a while I'll try to write posts that may be interesting, because I want to enjoy the rest of my time here in 日本 as much as possible and, obviously, tell you all about it! I'm forever grateful for your readership, and if you continue to read my new blog when I return to the States, I will be in your debt forever.
